What Is A Martini Straight Up?

February 3, 2022 by Editorial Team

The Martini Straight Up was invented by Harry Craddock in 1930 at London’s Savoy Hotel, where he worked as a head bartender until 1945 when he immigrated to America and opened The American Bar at New York City’s St. Regis Hotel. This is very popular among the drinkers.

What is a Martini Straight Up? Martini Straight Up is a Martini that is made with vermouth and garnished with an olive or lemon twist. The drinker may then choose to add ice if they so desire. Most people who order their Martini straight up do not want it shaken or stirred – just poured into a glass over ice cubes in such a manner that all ingredients are well mixed together before serving.

In this blog post, we will discuss the different types of Martinis and how to order them at a bar or restaurant.
